Tutorial day

On Thursday, June 6, the nationwide Day of Tutoring took place for the first time at Clausthal University of Technology as part of an information and exchange event in front of the canteen. The day is celebrated at many German colleges and universities on the first Thursday in June and recognizes the commitment of tutors, mentors and students in various areas of our university, such as laboratories, internships, the Welcome Service, the Infopoint, the library or as student ambassadors. The event aimed to emphasize the importance of their achievements in creating a dynamic and attractive academic community at the university. The event was organized by Katrin Balthaus, Head of the Study Support Team and Antje Mackensen, Tutoring Officer at the Study Support Team. The Vice President for Studies and Teaching, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Christian Bohn, Prof. Dr. Adams from Chemistry, Ms. Wächter from the IMW, Ms. Sieman and Ms. Hohmann from the STW and the student members of the Study Support team were on site and engaged in an exchange with the student employees. They talked about their work and working conditions, their wishes and ideas. It was a great event that should be repeated next year.
