Without a high school diploma?

Studying is also possible without a high school diploma!

If you are interested in studying but do not have an Abitur, there may be other ways for you to study. Access to higher education in Lower Saxony is regulated by the Lower Saxony Higher Education Act (NHG).

According to § 18 of the Lower Saxony Higher Education Act (NHG), there are several ways to gain access to higher education without an Abitur, for example

Technician, business administrator or master craftsman

State-certified technician, business administrator (Betriebswirt, Industriewirt...) or master craftsman

Vocational training

3 years of vocational training followed by 3 years of practical experience in the profession learned

Fachhochschulreife

Appropriate technical college entrance qualification

Further options

Other options, such as university entrance examination and guest student status
